Quading

So one of our last camping trips we went on was a quading trip, well they call it riders camp because you go and ride your quads there. Well it all started that Madison and Larry were just going to go with our neighbors and then our neighbors couldn't go so at the last minute I decided that me and Zach and Carson would go with. It was actually alot funner then I thought it was going to be. So thank you so much to Carlee and Jason for letting us tag along. This is usually something that Carlee and Jason do with their friends so it was nice that we got to go. I know that Carlee doesn't mind us going but you know we see each other all the time, we are in the same ward we are in the same family and well you get where I am going with this. So it was fun and it was a good chance for us to see if this is something that the kids would really like to do. I know that I would really like to get my own quad now. To tell you the truth I was jelous that Larry got to go on the rides and I wasn't able to go with, it is just so much fun. The kids had a blast as well. Carlee and Jason's friends were very kind and and let the kids ride on there littler quads, the kids loved it. So guess what the kids want now. So here are a few pictures of our quad trip.

Larry putting on a little seat thing for the kids so that when they ride with him they don't fall off. Carson had to get involved in this as well.

On the way up the mountain this is what we had to wait for. Yes a sheep crossing. This is the kind of road we had to go up to get to riders camp except it was mostly up hill.
more sheep
Larry getting ready for one of his rides. I love the way he looks on a quad.
Zach riding a little quad and he had to stop and ask me if he could go faster. He did this alot of times and I just had to tell him not to go to fast. He is my dare devil.
Carson wanted so bad to go for a ride. Don't worry everyone this one is not turned on and the key was not in, he was just sitting on one that no one was using at the time. He loves the quads too.
Zach lovin his ride.
Here he comes
There he goes
Can you tell that Carson is making the noise of a quad.
Off Zach goes again.
Here is Madison, she has really come out of her shell this year and tried some new things and she loved this.
She probably could have used a bigger quad but this was good for her to learn on this one.

Here are some pictures of our drive down the mountain. It was very different from the drive up the mountain. It was smoother going down and and when we went up it was really bumpy and had alot of turns and stuff, but on the way down I would have to say was a little bit scarier. This is what we had to drive down. Can you see that there really isn't anything to the side of us but a cliff and we are pulling the trailer.
This is the cliff and don't worry I zoomed in so we weren't that close.

Here is a picture of the truck pulling the trailer. When we got home we washed both the truck and the trailer because it was so dusty.

More of the road that we drove down.

This is what happens to Carson when we drive on a bumpy road.
Oh my gosh we made it to a real road, thank heavens. It was alot more smooth from here on out because we were at the bottom of the mountain I think.

Well the next exciting thing that happened this summer is that my little sister got married. It was a long time coming. She had know her now husband for a couple of years and then they decided that they both really liked each other, well loved each other, and they decided to get married. Haley is happy and it was a nice casual wedding which is what Haley wanted. We had a BBQ for the reception and it was great. I am truly happy for her and glad that she has found her man. They are living in Las Vegas where she is still a teacher and she is going to school to get her masters and he is going to school to be a doctor. He is applying for medical schools so they are headed in the right direction and well now we will have a nurse and a doctor in our family. I think that is pretty good.

This was the day after the wedding Madison was helping me pick plums off of the tree and I thought it was cut.
The is my dad's back yard with the tables before the reception.

The sisters.

Can you tell they are happy about the pictures.

This is the day before the wedding or a couple of days before I just like this picture because Carson loves to be involved in everything that you are doing.

Fun Pictures

Hello everyone, I am back to blogging. I know it has been a long time but I just get busy and then I just don't blog. Well we have been very busy this summer and well I have more picture but I am starting with the ones in August because it would take me forever to blog about all the stuff we did.
Well in August we always go camping with my sisters and their family. So this year went and did that and we went to Lake Rosevelt, we always go there because we like it and it is right on the lake and it is hot. So we went there and well for some reason I didn't take pictures while I was there, probably because we have gone there for a couple of years now and there really isn't anything new to take a picture of. You can only take so many pictures of the kids swimming right. So we went there and after we went to Lake Rosevelt we stopped in Moses Lake and camped because we wanted to break up our driving because it isn't pleasant being in a car with Carson, he whines the whole time for no reason. So we camped in Moses Lake and we went to a nice water park there, it was nice and little and not to big, they had a lazy river and water slides and diving boards. Madison has gotten so good at her swimming that she now goes off of the diving boards and went down the water slides, she loved it. She also went off of the highest diving board that they had there and for some reason I dont' know what happened to that picture I can't find it. Zach loved it to even if he wasn't able to go on the water slides because he didn't meat the hight requirement. I tried to get him to go on the littler ones but he wanted nothing to do with them. Carson has grown to really love the water as well. He doesn't like to wear the life jacket though. He will get used to it though. After lake rosevelt we went home and unpacked. So here are some of the pictures at the moses lake water park.

Zach and Larry having fun in the water.
my boys

Madison on the waterslide, I had a better picture of her smiling but it was to fuzzy to put up.

On the way to Moses Lake we stopped here and now I can't remember what it was called.

Our family picture. We have one of all of us last year when Carson was a baby and I have the exact same hair do. Now remember we have already been camping for almost a week so we don't look our best.

Carson

So whenever I come upstairs to do something and Carson is with me he always climbs into the chair by the books and stand on the chair and then leans back in it and grabs a book so alot of the times he just sits there and looks at books, then proceeds to just play around on the chair and then I get to scared the he is going to fall off and break something so I take him off and he climbs right back on. So I just thought that these were some reall cute pictures because he climbs it all the time and grabs a book which I think is cute and then he just sits there and looks at me and smiles. He has such a great personality when he happy and we love it, so here is a glimps at what he does upstairs on the chair.

He found a book and is looking at it, the parrott in the books squeeks and so he was trying to do that I think.

I know it is upside down but i am glad that he likes books maybe he will be like Madison and love to read like she does.
I got him to do a pretty good smile for me, it isn't very often I get a smile with teeth showing, usually it is just with his mouth wide open.

Our first camping trip of the year

Last weekend we went on our first camping trip of the season. We went to a place called Cape Dissapointment. It is in a city called Ilwaco. It is on the border of washington and oregon, we were on the washington side. We went with my sisters and there family. So as we left on the friday the 29th is was a beautiful day ninety degree's and so i thought that for sure it would be sunny there. Well we are driving along and as we get closer it temperature starts dropping to the sixty's and high fifty's. Now this car ride was about a five hour car ride and Carson wasn't making it very much fun to drive. He better get used to it because are going to be doing alot of camping this summer and I don't know how far we are going to have to drive. Anyway so we get there and it is cloudy but it is also six o clock in the evening and we are also right on the coast so the water is right there. So we eat dinner and then we put the kids to bed and know that tomorrow is going to better and sunny and the beach won't be so windy. Anyway we had a time, it wasn't warm like it was at our own house but it was still nice to go camping and spend time with the family. I mean what can you expect camping on the coast it is going to be a little chilly especially because it isn't even summer yet. We had a great time and so did the kids. We played on the beach a little bit and watched my nieces and nephew's go swimming in the cold water. So here are a few pictures of our trip. I did have a good time regarless what I said at the begining.

Zach still in his pj's at the beach it was Saturday morning. I didn't even know he went to the beach in the morning, I guess larry must have taken the kids to the beach. Right when the kids got up in the morning they wanted to go outside and play.
Madison throwing the ball for Tango(my sister Angie's dog).

Zach and Adeline must have been really impressed with this crab shell.

This was the beach near our campsite.

On Saturday morning we went to Seaside and looked around there while we let the clouds go away back at our campsite. Here is Madison and Zach on a carousel in seaside.
After we got back from Seaside we took a walk on the beach because Carlee said that while she was running that morning that she thought she saw a dead shark or dolphin on the beach so we walked to see it and it was a long walk. Now we had the wind on our backs while we were walking to see it but on the way back we were walking against the wind and I carried Carson both ways by the time we were done I didn't think I could make it back to our campsite. I think it was like a mile both ways.
This is Zach on our walk on the beach, this is the begining.
Madison at the begining of our walk and for some reason she didn't take her helmet off from riding her scooter. She wore it the whole time.
And this is Carson I don't remember what he wanted here but it was something.

This is when we got back from our walk and by the way it was a dead dolphin. Carson was much happier to be able to get down and not be in the wind.

My Mom

So I didn't really wan to post anything about my mom because it is still sad for me, but a couple of weeks ago we went up to my parents house to get the trailer and my mom head stone was in and I haven't seen it yet. This was the first time I have been up to my parents house since my mom had died. Anyway I need to hurry and do this post because I get very teary eyed when I think about my mom and look at these pictures. I just wanted to post these pictures because I think that her head stone is very pretty and the pictures don't do it justice.
It is a granite stone and it looks much better in person.

The music notes are because my mom was very musical. She led the ward music during sacrament and she sang and she played the piano. She loved flowers. When you go to there house she has all kinds of gardens of flowers. She also had a hummingbird feeder outside of her window and loved to see the hummingbirds come and feed. So that is why there are music notes and flowers and humming birds.

Five

Zachary is Five. I can't believe that he is that old. It seems like the time has just gone by so fast. He is doing great and he all boy. He loves to do boy things and hang out with the boys. I can't believe that he is going to be going to kindergarten next year. He just doesn't seem old enough. He can not wait though. Zach is very energetic and loves to laugh and play. When we went to his dr appointment the dr said that he is doing great and that he had to have four shots. Three of them were for kindergarten. Anyway he did really good on his shots and barely cried which was nice since when I took Madison I had to hold her down to get her just one shot. Anyway Zach is five and he turned five on May 7th. Yes you saw that correctly I have two kids who have birthday's just days apart. I don't know what I am going to when they get older. Here are a few pictures of Zach's birthday.

We had just a little family party on his actual birthday and had Adeline, Heather and Jason over. Carlee was working that day. We had taco's for dinner because that is Zach's favorite.
Anna made him this cake

On the following Saturday we had a birthday party with his friends. We had almost all boys there with a couple of girls mixed in there. We went to 3-2-1 bounce and the kids had a great time. My wonderful friend Beth in Arizona was kind enough to make each child a cape with there first letter of there name on it. I forgot to get a picture of the cape but it was a hit with all the kids. There were purple ones for the girls and then green and blue for the boys. So thank you Beth for making those for me. And if people are actually wondering yes I do have a friend named Beth, I am not making her up.
The cake, it is "The Hulk"
